THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) members in Manhyia South Constituency have been urged to embrace unity and hard work to help the party to retain political power.
Nana Owusu Afriyie Prempeh, who contested the recently held Manhyia South Parliamentary Primaries but lost, made the passionate call on Sunday when he met the party delegates.
“Breaking the eight has not been achieved by any political party before since the inception of the 1992 constitution so it’s a difficult task that lies ahead of our dear NPP on December 7, this year.
“The Manhyia South NPP election is over and Lawyer Baffuor Awuah has been elected to lead our constituency as parliamentary candidate. He cannot do it alone so he needs the support of all of us.
“I’m therefore appealing passionately to our party members and sympathizers to leave the internal party election behind and let’s unite as one elephant family to approach the polls”, he appealed.
Nana Owusu was speaking when he who visited all the six electoral areas in Manhyia South Constituency on Sunday to thank the delegates for their support during the party election.
He said he is ready to dedicate his time and resources to campaign strongly for Lawyer Baffuor Awuah to win with a landslide in Manhyia South so his (Nana Owusu’s) followers should follow suit.
“The huge votes that we will secure at Manhyia South and the other constituencies in the country will go a long way to help Dr. Bawumia and my brother, Napo to break the eight”, he pointed out.
Nana Owusu also said the NPP needs to retain political power and continue with its splendid works in government, reiterating his call on the NPP members to unite and campaign harder than ever for the party.
