Less than 1 minute Minutes

Out of vigilantism, bravado, and determination to bring alleged robbers to book, Kwadwo Yeboah, a 30-year-old commercial vehicle driver residing at Kotwi-Nkoransa in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region, has met his untimely death.

According to his partner, Martha, the deceased, upon hearing shouts of “robbers, robbers” at around 2 a.m. on Friday, August 28, left his room to chase the alleged criminals, who outsmarted their chasers and managed to hide.

She narrated that she tried to convince her partner to stay indoors, but he failed to heed her advice.

According to reports, the deceased pursued the alleged criminals, but unfortunately, they turned on him and butchered him to death when they saw him alone during the chase.

Yeboah’s gruesome murder is the second in the space of a month in the town, which is gradually gaining notoriety for criminal activities.

It will be recalled that on July 27, 2026, one Kwabena Awuah, 35, a taxi driver, was allegedly murdered by unidentified assailants in his vehicle in the same town.

According to Kwame Awuah Nimfour, a journalist with Kumasi-based Opemsuo Radio, Yeboah’s murder has been reported to the police to begin investigations and bring the perpetrators to book.

Meanwhile, the body has since been deposited at the morgue pending autopsy.
