The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called for stronger cooperation between Ghana and Poland in education, STEM, TVET and entrepreneurship to equip the youth with relevant skills for national development.
Otumfuo made the call when Poland’s Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Wojciech Zajączkowski, paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace on October 29, 2026, as part of his four-day working visit to Ghana.
The Asantehene stressed that strategic collaboration in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and entrepreneurship would drive innovation and create sustainable opportunities for young people.
In turn, H.E. Zajączkowski reaffirmed Poland’s commitment to strengthening ties with Ghana and commended Otumfuo’s immense contribution to education and development.
He indicated Poland’s readiness to explore new avenues of partnership that would be mutually beneficial to both countries.
Also present at the Manhyia Palace to receive the delegation was the Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor Christian Agyare.
The Undersecretary and his delegation also toured the Manhyia Palace Museum, where they were briefed on the rich history and heritage of the Asante Kingdom.
The delegation included H.E. Michał Cygan, Poland’s Ambassador to Ghana resident in Abuja; Mr. Przemysław Bobak, Deputy Director of the Department of Africa, the Middle East and Latin America and former EU Ambassador to Chad; and Ms. Maria Niesłuchowska, Legal Advisor to the Undersecretary of State.
