The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, held a high-level meeting with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. on Sunday, focused on unlocking investment and trade opportunities for Asanteman and Ghana.

The meeting brought together top business leaders, diplomats, and investors to explore strategic partnerships in areas including agribusiness, manufacturing, health, and infrastructure.

Opening the discussions, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II highlighted the vast investment potential in Asanteman and Ghana as a whole, stressing the Kingdom’s readiness to partner with credible American investors for sustainable development and job creation.

The engagement forms part of Otumfuo’s visit to the United States, where he continues to champion investment and development for Asanteman and Ghana.

On the U.S. side were Ghana’s Ambassador to the U.S., Victor Smith; Ms. Kendra Gaither and Mr. Guevera Yao, both of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Amb. Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

Mr. Kwabena Osei-Sarpong of RIFE International, Dr. Adjoa B. Asamoah of ABA Consulting, Amb. Dr. Jendayi Frazer of 50 Ventures, Ms. Sarah Brenholt of Cargill, Mr. Michael Coyle of Peak Global Partners, and Mr. Victor Swami of Areva Pharmaceuticals.

With the Asantehene to discuss bilateral business were Amb. Kobby Koomson, former Ghanaian Ambassador to the U.S.; Mr. Ernest Sarhene, Head of Protocol to the Asantehene; Mr. Charles Sekyere; and Dr. Andy Asamoah, CEO of A&C Mall.

Also present were Mr. Kofi Badu, Chief of Staff at the Manhyia Palace; Nana Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II, Otumfuo Hiahene; Nana Effah Apenteng, Bompatahene; and Nana Otuo Siriboe II, Juabenhene.
