A STRONG favourite for the NPP presidential election, Kennedy Agyapong, says he can easily retain political power for the party in 2024.
Sounding confident, he says John Mahama, the presidential aspirant for the largest opposition political party in the country, NDC, will be no match for him.
Kennedy Agyapong has therefore appealed passionately to the NPP delegates in the 275 constituencies in the country to vote massively for him on November 4.
“My good friend, John Mahama of the NDC cannot stand against me, I will easily deal with him and retain political for the NPP”, he confidently assured.
Kennedy Agyapong, who is currently in the Ashanti Region and campaigning for votes, was speaking on Kessben fm in Kumasi on Monday morning.
He insists ex-President Mahama has a track record after being in political office as vice president and president, adding that “This will be a huge advantage for me (Ken).
“The electorate are aware of the setbacks in the Mahama-led NDC administration so it will be a disadvantage for him, but I’ll not suffer that disadvantage.
“I’m coming into the contest as a new person so there is no track record that can be used against me and this is one of the reasons I’m urging the NPP delegates to vote for me.
“The same thing goes to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He has been in political office so he also has a track record, which can be a disadvantage for him.
“Kennedy Agyapong has no such track record therefore I’m reiterating my appeal to our dear delegates to vote for Kennedy Agyapong to lead NPP to victory”.
According to him, when elected as NPP presidential candidate, he will unite the entire elephant family to record a resounding victory in 2024.
