Mr. Samuel Antwi, former regional chairman of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association Ghana (CLOGSAG), has been appointed as the Acting President of the Association.
His appointment follows the removal of Mr. Benjamin Otoo, the erstwhile Acting President at a meeting held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at CLOGSAG Secretariat by the National Executive Council (NEC).
Mr. Antwi, a seasoned administrator and unionist, is a Principal Human Resource Manager by profession.
He is highly accomplished academically, holding an MPhil in Geography and Rural Development, MSc in Management and Human Resource Strategy , and a BA in Integrated Development Studies.
He is currently a PhD. candidate and an LLB student.
Within the CLOGSAG structure, Mr. Antwi has risen through the ranks with a rich track record of service, including serving as District Chairman for Bosome Freho, Regional Organizer, and later Regional Chairman, all in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking after his appointment, Mr. Antwi pledged to foster unity within the Association, stating his vision is anchored on seeking for a united CLOGSAG to empower us to push for our new salary structure/conditions of service.
He has called on all members across the country to rally behind the new leadership to advance the welfare and interests of civil and local government staff.
The NEC has urged all members to give him their full support as he steers the affairs of the Association pending congress to elect national officers on a date yet to be announced.
