KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko have arrived safely in Benin, ahead of their epic first-leg clash with RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso in the CAF Champions League preliminary stage.
The 21-man squad plus top officials of the Kumasi-based club arrived in Cotonou, capital city of Benin via bus escort by Ghana Police Service few hour ago.
The team is expected to do light training this evening, before they resume for their usual training regime ahead of clash with the Burkinabe champions on Monday September 12.
The game between Kotoko and RC Kadiogo was initially scheduled for Stade de Yamoussokro, Ivory Coast but it was later rescheduled for Mathieu Kérékou Stadium in Cotonou as result of Ivorian Football Association’s failure to approve the venue.
