A MAN, believed to be 30 years, has been cruelly lynched at Adum in Kumasi, for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.
The deceased, whose identity is not known, was said to be part of a three-man group, who went on a stealing mission.
The trio, according to reports, managed to steal a mobile phone from someone near the Boss FM area on Wednesday.
Unlucky for the mobile phone thieves, their illegal activities were detected by someone, who quickly blew the alarm.
Two of the suspects, according to eyewitnesses, managed to flee from the crime scene with the stolen phone at top speed.
The third suspect, who was not lucky enough, was however apprehended by an angry mob, who manhandled him.
The mob was said to have mercilessly beaten the suspect with different types of weapons and metals until he died.
According to eyewitnesses reports, the case was reported to police, who rushed to the scene only to find the dead body.
Meanwhile, the body has since been taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for preservation.
The police in Kumasi have also initiated investigations to help apprehend those who meted instant justice to the suspect.
