A MAN in his early 50’s has been shot dead at close range by two suspected armed robbers.
Yaw Agyei, an entrepreneur, reportedly, attempted to foil a robbery attack in a certain pastor’s house.
But he was not lucky as the trigger-happy robbers shot at him when he was racing after them on foot.
The incident happened on the morning of Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Achiase-Wansamire.
It is located in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
Eyewitnesses said Agyei aka ‘Yesu Mogya’ had just dropped his wife and four children at church.
He was returning home in his car when he saw two robbers trying to break into the pastor’s house.
Agyei then alighted from the car, blew an alarm and chased the robbers on foot to arrest them.
The hoodlums then shot Agyei in a nearby bush when he was few meters away from arresting them.
The body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue.
Press1News is aware that the Asuofua Police are doing their best to arrest the suspects to face prosecution.
