Evans Kofi Kwafo Presents Sandals, Others To Barefooted Kids At Mirekukrom MA School.

Evans Kofi Kwafo, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the EKK Charity Foundation has donated pairs of sandals, exercise books and school bags to Mirekukrom D/A Basic School in the Sefwi Akontombra District of the Western North Region.

The CEO together with his Foundation Members also donated 100 bags of cement for the construction of befitting class room block and also provided cupboards tables and chairs for teachers at the school.

Additionally, the CEO presented GHC 1000.00 for the upkeep of a pupil whose feeding is done through tubes.

“It’s always a great privilege to EKK Foundation to give to support the needy and for us we have similar stories growing up, therefore, we count as a blessing to give to these pupils who walk barefooted to Mirekukrom Basic School”, the Chief Executive Officer stated.

Commitment:

Mr Kwafo said the government cannot take up all the burdens of education alone.

This, he noted is the reason the EKK Foundation does its best to support government’s efforts.

Mr Kwafo however asked well to do persons including organisations, non- governmental organisations and others to support the upkeep of school going kids and the needy in society.

“I will urge everyone in the country especially well to do persons, companies, organisations and other non governmental organisations to reach to help the needy and the underprivileged on the society so that we could help to reduce the poverty situations in the country”, the CEO appealed.

Chief of Mirekukrom

The Odikro of Mirekukrom, Nana Kwadwo Tetteh commended the EKK Foundation for the assistance to the school.

He noted that some pupils go to school barefooted, adding that the donation has been timely.

Nana Tetteh asked people who hail from the community and are doing well in life to contribute to the development of Mirekukrom.

“I pray other well to do persons who hail from Mirekukrom can learn from EKK Foundation and its CEO by doing things that will enhance the development of this community”, the Odikro noted
