Kumasi Mayor Presents Motor Bikes To Ahmadiyya Clerics

Mayor of Kumasi, Hon Samuel Pyne has presented two brand new motor bikes the KMA promised the Muslim sect sometime ago.

This, was done at the end of the prayer session to crown the Eid celebrations of Muslims after undertaking the annual 30 day fasting popularly termed as Ramadan.

 

 

The Mayor commended the Muslim community for promoting peace in Kumasi and beyond.

“In recent years, the Muslim community have embraced religious, culture and ethinic diversity and promoted peaceful atmosphere in the Metropolis”, Hon Pyne stated.

The Mayor stressed that without peaceful coexistence among people of diverse religious, culture, and ethinic backgrounds Kumasi and Ghana as a whole would not have witnessed peace and growth.

He therefore commended Muslim for their immense contribution to peace.

Hon Pyne re-echoed the Isamic faith by stating that,l “Islam teaches us that the month of Ramadan comes with the opportunity to offer our spiritual devotions to Almighty Allah, in anticipation that the fasting will bring forgiveness for the past sins and draw us closer to Allah”.

He appealed to Muslims to be law abiding citizens, whiles supporting the KMA to keep the City clean.

On this year’s general elections, the Mayor appealed to them to avoid violence and intimidation so that there would be peaceful elections.

Reception and Appreciation:

Receiving the brand new motorbikes, Ashanti Regional Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslims, Maulvi Abdul Hameed thanked the Kumasi Mayor for fulfilling the promise to support the mobility of the Islamic clerics.

Maulvi Abdul Hameed also promised to make good use of the bikes and maintain them to last long.

He showered blessings of Allah on the Mayor and pledged that the Ahmadiyya Muslims would play their part to keep Kumasi clean, and ensure a successful general elections this year.

He said prayers for the nation, and advised Muslims to uphold good moral virtues in their endeavours.
