The 16th occupant of the Golden Stool in Ghana, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is scheduled to address an international business conference on a date yet to be announced.

He is expected to speak to an estimated gathering of 40,000 international business leaders at a conference dubbed the “World Cup Summit.”

A delegation from Portage Energy Group, Canada, visited the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, to announce the invitation.

The delegation was led by Craig Latimer, Chief Executive Officer (CEO); Michael Southam, Chief Financial Officer (CFO); and Stephen Akpakwu, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Their visit to the Asante King also aimed to address waste management issues in the city through a forensic examination and the conversion of waste into power.
