The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has restated his unwavering commitment to protect all lands belonging to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and ŹTechnology (KNUST).
He redeclared that not a single parcel will be lost to encroachment under his reign.
Speaking at the launch of KNUST’s 75th Anniversary on June 24, 2026, at the Great Hall, the 16th Occupant of the Golden Stool and Chancellor of the school stated emphatically that he is the sole custodian of the school’s land.
“Let me state clearly here and again, no Abusuapanin can claim ownership of KNUST land.”
“Any Abusuapanin or whoever goes to court to claim ownership of KNUST land is wasting his time and resources,” the Asantehene reiterated.
Over the years, KNUST has been distracted by encroachers, some of whom have taken legal action against it over ownership of the land.
