Hundreds of motorists, students, farmers, and traders who ply the road daily to Boko, Atwima Takyiman, Abuakwa, and other communities have been severely affected by this unfortunate development.

The Queen Mother of Anwa-Behenease, Otumfuo Ayeyere Nana Abenaa Akomaa Tipa II, expressed worry and discomfort over the current state of the bridge and called on district authorities to act swiftly to restore it to use.

She appealed to the Member of Parliament, Hon. Kofi Amankwa-Manu; the District Chief Executive, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah; and the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Frank Amoakohene, to urgently consider their plight.

A Unit Committee Member and Chairperson of the Parents Teachers Association of Anwa-Behenase D/A Primary School, Adwoa Serwaa, explained that the collapse of the bridge has negatively affected school attendance, as many pupils are unable to cross the caved-in bridge.

She joined the Queen Mother in urging local authorities and the government to urgently restore the bridge so that residents can easily access health facilities, markets, and social events.
