Wontumi Supports Man-U-Says “Chelsea Bid Was For Profit Making”

Less than 1 minute Minutes

BUSINESSMAN-CUM-Politician, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, says he is a staunch supporter of Manchester United in the English Premiership.

Nicknamd as ‘Wontumi’, the Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, was in the news recently when he officially made a bid to buy Chelsea Football Club.

According to the famous gold miner, he planned to buy Chelsea with the intention of making profit and maximizing his wealth in a short period of time.

“In the English Premiership, I support Manchester United but as a businessman, I saw a great opportunity, hence my proposal to buy Chelsea.

“I realized that if I am able to purchase Chelsea, I can make huge financial gains in a short time”, he disclosed on ‘Good Evening Ghana’ on Metro TV.

The interview was monitored by Press1News.

As a reminder, Wontumi was heavilly trolled when he announced his intentions to buy Chelsea at a staggering price of £3 Billion, few months ago.

Most of his critics described his action as a big ‘joke’, but Wontumi insists he was ready to buy the United Kingdom-based club at that high price.

In the end, Wontumi could not realize his dream of becoming the new Chelsea Football Club owner as a different person outmuscled him for the top position.

Meanwhile, Wontumi has lauded the management of Chelsea for buying England international, Rahim Sterling, saying that the winger will add bite to Chelsea’s attack.
