A firm decision has been taken to construct road bumps in front of the Islamic SHS in Kumasi.

Kumasi Mayor, Sam Pyne, has confirmed this pleasant news to Press1News in an interview.

It is an indication that the demand of the students of the Islamic SHS has finally been granted.

The agitated students blocked the main Abrepo Junction to Bohyen road on Monday morning.

They said accidents were frequent in front of their school so they were demanding speed bumps.

Sam Pyne said the Urban Roads Department will construct bumps on the road as soon as possible.

“The road bumps project will be awarded to a contractor very soon”, the KMA Boss assured.

He stated that the Islamic SHS did not inform his office about their urgent need for speed bumps.

“I only got to know about it when the students blocked the road and it’s unfortunate”, he noted.

Sam Pyne advised the public to refrain from using force to drum home their grievances.
