The campaign trail of Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK), the Chief Scribe and General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), received a major boost in the North East Region as constituency leaders and regional executives rallied overwhelmingly behind his reelection bid.
The delegates argued that retaining his administrative leadership is crucial to the party’s strategy for reorganizing its base and reclaiming power in the 2028 general elections.

The North East leg of JFK’s nationwide tour commenced in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency, where the Member of Parliament, Hon. Mohammed Nurudeen, formally received the campaign delegation.
The team was subsequently hosted by the NPP North East Regional Executive Committee, led by Regional Chairman Fuseini Nurideen, in a visible show of regional party unity.

Addressing the delegates, Chairman Fuseini Nurideen commended JFK’s hands-on engagement with the region.
He cited the General Secretary’s direct interventions during previous election cycles, including the allocation of time, strategic funding, and logistics to critical areas like Nalerigu/Gambaga, as evidence of his commitment to fortifying the party from the grassroots level up.
Chairman Nurideen noted that a second term for JFK would ensure administrative continuity, enabling the national secretariat to complete ongoing organizational reforms ahead of 2028.

A key highlight of the tour came from the Regional Secretary, Lawyer Sulley Sambian, who publicly acknowledged that he had initially opposed JFK’s first bid for the General Secretary position.
Sambian stated that working closely with JFK over his first term shifted his stance, pointing to JFK’s accessibility, institutional restructuring of party machinery, and transparent governance style.
Sambian urged delegates nationwide to reward performance by granting JFK a decisive mandate.

The regional engagement concluded in the Walewale constituency, completing a series of town-hall meetings with local executives across the region.
