MTN Ghana Bags Top Honours At 20th Club 100 Awards

SCANCOM PLC, operating as MTN Ghana, has been declared the number two company of the year at the prestigious 20th Ghana Club 100 awards ceremony held at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre.

Adding to this remarkable achievement, MTN Ghana has also claimed the esteemed title of the Number Three Company in Ghana for its outstanding Corporate Social Investments (CSI).

 

 

The company received special recognition for its steadfast participation in the renowned Ghana Club 100 for an impressive two decades, solidifying its reputation as a pillar of excellence and success in Ghana’s economic landscape.

Chief Executive Officer:

Speaking on this accolade, Selorm Adadevoh, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, expressed, “These awards validate our continuous effort to innovate and remain competitive in a dynamic and ever-evolving industry. It reaffirms that we are on the right track in our quest to embrace modern technology that will be of benefit to our customers.”

He further emphasized MTN Ghana’s commitment to national development, stating, “MTN Ghana will continue to play its role in the nation’s economic growth, social progress, and digital inclusion.”

Corporate Social Services Officer:

Adwoa Wiafe, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer (CCSSO), received the awards on behalf of MTN Ghana.

In her gratitude, she thanked the organizers and reiterated MTN’s dedication to creating shared value through sustainability, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in the country. Adwoa dedicated the awards to all stakeholders, customers, and employees of MTN Ghana.

Background:

The 20th edition of the Ghana Club 100 awards marked a celebration of decades of resilience, innovation, and excellence showcased by Ghanaian businesses across strategic sectors.

These sectors, including agriculture, financial services, ICT, infrastructure, petroleum, mining services, manufacturing, tourism, health, and education, were honoured for their significant contributions to the country’s economic growth.

The awards ceremony aimed to recognize the top 100 companies that played pivotal roles in shaping and driving the growth of the country’s economy in various capacities throughout the year.

The overarching theme for this year, “Accelerating Economic Growth: Amplifying Ghana’s Global Market Footprint through African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA),” highlighted the importance of economic expansion and global market integration.
