Prominent figures within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), including current and former Members of Parliament (MPs) as well as regional executives, have strongly backed Thomas Oheneba Boakye for the position of NPP-UK Branch Organiser ahead of tomorrow’s polls.
Parliamentary Backing:
Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Hon. Kwasi Konadu, alongside Hon. Shirley Kyei, MP for Atwima Nwabiagya South, commended Oheneba Boakye for his exceptional organizational abilities and unwavering dedication to the party over the past decade.
Both lawmakers highlighted his consistent efforts in keeping the NPP visible and well-projected throughout the United Kingdom.
Urging delegates to vote decisively in his favor, they noted that electing Boakye would ensure continuity in the party’s grassroots mobilization.
Widespread Support:
Joining the MPs in endorsing Boakye are several notable party stalwarts:
Hon. Samuel Pyne, former Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NPP
Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwah, former MP for Manhyia North
Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, former MP for Asante Akyem North
In separate statements, the trio commended Boakye’s steadfast commitment to the party’s electoral fortunes.
They emphasized his hospitality and generosity, noting that he frequently caters to the welfare of party officials and members visiting the UK for official business or party assignments.
Further echoing these sentiments, former Deputy Director of Communications for the NPP, Afia Akoto, described Boakye as one of the most dedicated members of the party.
She revealed that he routinely uses his personal resources to support party initiatives in the UK, including arranging accommodation for visiting delegates.
Additionally, Adamu Musah Raha, Eastern Regional NPP Youth Organiser, praised Boakye’s kindness and service-driven mindset, describing his main priority as strengthening the fortitude and reach of the NPP-UK Branch.
Background:
The New Patriotic Party’s diaspora branches, particularly NPP-UK, play a critical role in diaspora mobilization, fundraising, and international party operations.
Thomas Oheneba Boakye appears as Number 1 on the ballot in tomorrow’s branch executive elections.
Although he has performed key organizational duties informally for over ten years, a victory in this election will officially mandate him to lead the NPP-UK Branch’s organizational structure.
