Goat Thief Caged

THE TEPA Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested a man for allegedly stealing two goats, valued at Ghc 700.

Kwadzo Francis, reportedly, sneaked into a certain house at Tepa, in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality, and stole the goats.

Luck, however, eluded Kwadzo as he was apprehended few minutes after he had unlawfully stolen the animals.

A police report, sighted by Press1News, has confirmed the arrest and said the incident happened at 1:30pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022.

It noted that the owner of the goats, one Bashiru Yahaya with support from the police, arrested the suspect in possession of the goats.

“One Bashiru Yahaya, 35, of Tepa-Kruboa assisted by the day patrol team, arrested and brought to the charge office, suspect Kwadzo Francis together with two female goats.

“Yahaya reported that same day at about 1:30pm, suspect came to his house and stole the two goats, valued at Ghc 700”.

The report further said suspect Kwadzo is still in police custody assisting in investigations. He will be arraigned soon.
