TEAM GHANA is banking its hopes on athletics and boxing to win medals at the ongoing 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

 

 

In all, Team Ghana is participating for top honours in 13 different sporting categories at the games, taking place in the United Kingdom (UK).

They are boxing, athletics, para sports, badminton, table tennis, judo, swimming, squash, hockey, beach volleyball, weightlifting, triathlon and cycling.

Frederick Acheampong aka Ache’, the Chef de Mission of Ghana Team, has stated that Ghana would surely win medals in the games.

“Realistically, we can win medals in athletics and boxing”, he told Press1News in an exclusive interview in Birmingham on Monday.

According to Ache, Team Ghana can also win medals in the other sporting events “But we are sure to make a great impact in boxing and athletics”.
