The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosome Freho in the Ashanti Region, Hon Akwasi Darko Boateng has commissioned a borehole facility for the residents of Anumso, a community in the constituency.
The Bosome Freho Constituency, the MP noted depends mainly on rivers, wells and streams as source of drinking water.
Speaking during commissioning ceremony on Tuesday, Hon Boateng stated his commitment to working to make life more enjoyable for the people in the communities at Bosome Freho.
“There are a lot of communities in the constituency without potable water but we are still working hard to make sure everybody gets clean water to drink. I know that more of these will be provided at the end of the year”, the MP stated.
Donation of Books:
The MP also presented 1,200 reading books to the District Education Directorate for students in the area.
Hon Boateng stated he was also making arrangements for another consignment of books and would deliver by the end of the year.
He noted that the District will in due course have an additional 4,000 books to help in teaching and learning.
“I am committed to doing all I can to provide teaching and learning aids to the directorate so that we can help our students to bring positive academic outcomes”, the MP stated.

Kofi Adu Amoateng, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho thanked the MP for the gestures.
He noted that the provision of the borehole facility for the Anumso community was timely and commendable due to the inconveniences the people faced previously.
The DCE also praised the MP for deliberately channeling resources into the Education of the people in the district.
“On behalf of the people in this district i want to say we are grateful for these gestures aimed at making our people comfortable in their daily lives and to also shore up better performances of our children in school”, the DCE commended.
