THE ASHANTI Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) polls will now take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, May 28.

Originally, the important party programme was supposed to take place at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) on Friday, May 27.

Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional NPP Elections Committee Chairman, has confirmed the new date and venue for the event to this portal.

According to him, some of the aspirants vehemently protested against the elections taking place at the Ashanti RCC so the committee decided to change it.

Osei Mensah, who is also the Ashanti Regional Minister, said “the album for the polls has also delayed, hence the change of date from Friday to Saturday.

“The date has been extended for 24 hours so that the aspirants will have ample time to go through the album and do the necessary corrections before we vote”.
