Atwima Nwabiagya Education Directorate Honors Nkawie “Sir John”

THE ATWIMA Nwabiagya Municipal Education rectorate has honored Mr. John Kwame Duodu popularly known as “Sir John” for providing 3,274 mathematical sets and pens for BECE candidates in the municipality.

At a brief ceremony at the precincts of the Municipal Education Office Monday morning,  Mrs Joana Essel-Cudjoe, Head of the Directorate said, “this Directorate is grateful for your selflessness and desire to see our students and pupils do well in their educational journey”.

 

 

She noted that the volume of the items presented to the pupils who just finished writing their Basic Education Certificate Examinations show the kind of heart the NPP first Vice Chairman has.

“The Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Education Directorate working under the Ghana Education Service (GES) presents this plaque to you to acknowledge your commitment to the education of pupils and for your desire to see positive outcomes from students especially BECE candidates”, Mrs Essel-Cudjoe stressed.

Appeal:

The Municipal Director of Education used the occasion to appeal to other residents and indigenes of Atwima Nwabiagya to emulate the example of Mr Duodu.

Mrs Essel-Cudjoe noted that out of love for the pupils and students at Atwima Nwabiagya the NPP Vice Chairperson decided to invest in their education and examination.

She said such kind gestures do not only encourage pupils and students but all stakeholders in education.

“I would use this opportunity to appeal to well to do persons as well as indigenes of Atwima Nwabiagya who are living elsewhere to learn from the gesture by “Nkawie Sir John” so that together we can help to encourage our wards who are in school”, Mrs Essel-Cudjoe appealed.

Appreciation:

Receiving the plaque, Mr John Kwame Duodu (Sir John) thanked the Education Directorate for the honor done him.

He said he was encouraged by the gesture to do more for the students and pupils of the Municipality.

The NPP Vice Chairperson also noted his desire to collaborate with the Directorate to do more for the people in the area of education.

“I am humbled by this honor on my modest person and i promise to do more to support the education of our children in this Municipality as well as the Directorate”, Mr Duodu stated.
