Renowned Ghanaian gospel minister and philanthropist Alex Acheampong has released his latest single, “Nyame Baako Pɛ” (Only One God), featuring celebrated gospel star Obaapa Christie.
Slated for release across all major streaming platforms on Friday, October 9, 2026, the highly anticipated track is already creating a stir among gospel music lovers.
The single seamlessly fuses traditional Ghanaian rhythms with a vibrant, modern tempo, delivering a powerful declaration of faith and divine sovereignty.
Unwavering Faith:
Translating from Akan as “Only One God,” the track serves as an anthem of hope and endurance, encouraging believers to remain grounded in their faith despite life’s hardships.
“I know this song will uplift those facing steep hurdles in their Christian journey, especially those tempted to yield to family pressures or turn to lesser deities out of sheer desperation,” shared Acheampong. “Always remember: there is only one God, and He remains sovereign on the throne.”
Speaking on the collaboration, Acheampong praised Obaapa Christie’s contribution:
“Having my sister Obaapa Christie on this project is a tremendous blessing. Her distinct vocal command and anointed presence infuse the song with a level of grace, power, and authenticity that only she can deliver.”
Philanthropic Impact:
The single was produced by acclaimed music producer Dan Bassey, whose signature sound gives the track a crisp, international appeal tailored for both local worship settings and global audiences.
Beyond his music, Acheampong remains dedicated to humanitarian work through the Alex Acheampong Foundation, which donates essential medical equipment—including incubators—to neonatal units and healthcare facilities across Ghana.
