Story
A SUCCESSFUL police swoop has led to the arrest of 32 suspected criminals at Tafo-Pankrono in Kumasi.
The police conducted the impromptu security operation in places considered to be safe haven for hoodlums.
The ages of those arrested ranges from eighteen to 45 years old, and they have since been kept in police cells.
They are Agana Haruna, 25, Andy Boakye, 20, Azariku Nashiru, 20, Kwame Mbabil, 21 and Kassim Seidu, 35.
Others are Kwaku Xon, 25, Kwaku Sampana, 19, Koyeh Francis, 45, Isaac Acheampong, 27 and Bingo Donfeh, 42.
Also arrested includes Kofi Amankwah, 28, Adjei Baffour, 27, Kofi Takyi, 31, Eric Osei, 18 and Baba Yussef 21.
The other suspects are Abubakar Sadiq, 22, Nana Kofi Owusu, 26, Yaw Opoku Kofei, 25 and Naftari Amankwah 22.
Nuredeen Kubi, 20, Aziz Mustapha, 22, John Kwaku Boadi, 27, Nana Adjei, 28 and Joseph Aseidu, 22, were also nabbed.
The rest are Mohamed Naziru, 20, Nicolas Nyame, 22, Kwadwo Sarpong, 28, Emmanuel Senya and Senyah Justice, 22.
Also in police grips are Yaw Opoku, 22, Darquah Frederick, 18, Kofi Appiah, 21 and Nashiru 20, a police report said.
āSuspects were nabbed at various criminal hideouts at Old Tafo, New Tafo, Moshie Zongo, Pankrono, Atimatim and its environsā.
The police report said quantities of plant material suspected to be lndian Hemp were found on some of the suspects during the June 4, 2022 operation.
āSome of the suspects were met smoking at some ghettos within the jurisdiction and others were also in unlawful assemblyā, the report said.
The police document sighted by Press1News, said suspects will be screened and āthose found culpable will be dealt with by the lawā.
