FAMOUS PHILANTHROPIST, Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei-Asibey, has donated assortment of items to over 130 students in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District.
Each student received one new student mattress, a chop box and a pillow during a well-attended durbar at Barekese, the district capital, on Friday, February 24, 2023.
The beneficiaries are about to be enrolled into the various schools in the country, under the government’s Free Seniors High School (SHS) programme.
Significantly, Lawyer Osei-Assibey is a known member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Atwima Nwabiagya North of the Ashanti Region
His kind gesture was in fulfilment of a promise he made to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the area, prior to the start of their examination.
As a reminder, before the start of the BECE, Lawyer Osei-Asibey also presented over 600 Mathematical Sets to motivate the students to excel in their final examination.
According the kind-hearted NPP member, who is also an entrepreneur, it is his wish to see most of the youth in the area climbing high the academic ladder.
Lawyer Osei-Asibey therefore reiterated his firm promise to support the students in various forms so they would grow to become influential people in society.
Present at the event were Mr. Frank Duah Boateng, District Director of Education, Mr. Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh, Presiding Member of the Assembly and Assembly Members.
Other dignitaries at the colourful function were religious leaders, headteachers, parents, NPP officials and people from various backgrounds.
On behalf of the beneficiary students, Fati Abubakar expressed their profound gratitude to Lawyer Osei-Asibey for the kind gesture.
She assured that the beneficiaries (students) would study hard to make Lawyer Osei-Asibey proud and give value for the monies spent on them.
