Less than 1 minute Minutes

AN 80 YEAR old woman has been robbed at Abodwese near Tepa in the Ashanti Region.

Rose Fordjour nicknamed as ‘Auntie Akua’, was asleep in her room when she was attacked.

One Ayuba Amadu, an ex-convict, reportedly, sneaked into the woman’s room around 1am on November 19, 2022.

The police said Ayuba initially tried to strangle Auntie Akua, a Herbalist, to death but to no avail.

The unprovoked attack led to the woman suffering bruises on her upper lips, the police report sighted by Press1News said.

“On 21/11/22 at about 0710 hours Rose Fordjour a.k.a Ante Akua Adu, aged 80 years, a Herbalist at Abodwese, came to the station with bruises on her upper lip.

“She reported that on 19/11/22 at about 0100 hrs while she was asleep in her room at Abodwese near Mamfo, one Ayuba Amadu an Ex-Convict, broke into her room, gripped her neck, pressed it and wanted to kill her”.

Auntie Akua said “suspect Ayuba Amadu made away with her two mobile phones” and fled from the scene to prevent an arrest.

A Tepa District police report said a medical form was issued to Auntie Akua to attend to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the police have assured that they are doing everything possible to arrest Ayuba to face the law.
