NPP Vice Chair Supports Atwima Koforidua With Street Lights

Story:

KWAKU BOATENG Marfo, First Vice Chairman for the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) last week donated street lights and bulbs to the Atwima Koforidua community.

He also donated a sterilizer and barbering items to one Samuel Frimpong, a barber.

Mr. Marfo also presented a sewing machine to Portia Afriyie, a needy but gifted dress maker at Atwima.

Presenting the items at a brief ceremony at Atwima Koforidua after touring the constituency with a fan club to clean the communities under same, the NPP Vice Chairman said he was delighted to have the opportunity to give to the area he hails from.

Mr. Marfo noted that he was well aware that his election as Vice Chair of NPP was to enable him lead such development and empowerment initiatives.

He said he was committed to use his position to lobby for more projects to the communities in the constituency.

The Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency,  he mentioned deserved to be supported to develop to the status of a modern community.

“My determination is to use my influence in the NPP to lobby for support from within and from government to develop the Atwima Nwabiagya North so that we can become a modern society in no time”, Mr Marfo stressed.

Mr. Emmanuel Antwi, Assembly member for Atwima Koforidua receiving the streetlights on behalf of Chiefs and the people commended the NPP Vice Chairman for the gesture.

He noted that a lighted community helps to keep crime under control, adding that crime thrived in darkness.

The Assembly member also appealed to other well meaning and endowed citizens of the constituency to follow the example of the NPP Vice Chairman.

“I appeal to all residents and citizens of Atwima Nwabiagya to also donate to support the communities in this constituency so that we can have more social and empowerment initiatives”, he rallied.
