As Ghana’s main opposition party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), prepares for its vital 2026 National Delegates Conference, incumbent General Secretary Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong has taken his re-election campaign to the Upper East Region.
Addressing party leaders and grassroots organizers across the region, Kodua pledged to fortify local structures and streamline internal operations to position the NPP for a strong comeback in the 2028 general elections.
Strategic Reform
Throughout his regional tour, Kodua met with regional executives, constituency officers, and local delegates.
He argued that administrative stability and proven leadership are essential for the party to rebuild following its defeat in the 2024 general election.
Highlighting the structural reforms introduced during his first term, Kodua underscored the need to consolidate these gains rather than restart from scratch:
