I’m Innocent Of All Allegations-Prof Albert Quarm Parries Claims by Frimpong Boateng

MR. JOSEPH Albert Quarm, a former Member of Parliament for the Manso Nkwanta constituency has parried off scurrilous allegations on his person by Professor Frimpong Boateng, a former Minister for Science and Environment. 

Speaking to this reporter in Kumasi, Mr Quarm popularly know as Prof Quarm said ‘every allegation in the 37 or so page report allegedly released by the former Minister of Environment is false about me’.

He noted that never has he owned a mining concession or participated in any illegal activity.

The former MP also said nowhere did he lease or sell concessions to any mining firm, company or persons when he was Member of the Minerals Commission Board.

Details:

The former MP said records were available at the Minerals Commission about persons who own mining concession or sites.

Those who have leased concessions or subletting same have their records at the Ministry and Minerals Commission, Prof Quarm educated.

He therefore asked Professor Frimpong Boateng to provide evidence or documents that can make sound proof that he Joseph Albert Quarm sold concessions or leased same to in a bid to collect the huge sums claimed in the report circulating in public.

“I have decided to ask the good old Professor to indicate to the public those I sold concessions to or leased concessions to since these documentations and information could be easily checked at the Minerals Commission”, the former MP stated.

Remedial Actions:

The former MP said he had notified his lawyers about the scurrilous allegations on his person by Professor Frimpong Boateng.

He however reiterated his earlier clemency to the former Heart Surgeon to renounce the the allegations which he termed as false and to apologise for same.

Prof Quarm said any refusal by the former Minister to adhere to the leeway he has offered would be met with ruthless action.

“I have already informed my lawyers to take action on the wild and scurrilous allegations made on my person by Professor Frimpong Boateng but I am reiterating the offer to him to hurriedly retract and apologise for the wild and dangerous indictment on my person about things I have never enegaged in”, the former MP stated.
