THE ASHANTI Regional NPP Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka ‘Wontumi’, has incurred the wrath of some top chiefs at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

This follows reports that Wontumi had verbally attacked the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in public, without provocation.

 

 

Wontumi is reported to have openly stated categorically that he would challenge the Asantehene if he disagreed on an issue with the Asante King.

He is said to have made these remarks before some prominent people, including the Kokosohene, Nana Kwaku Duah, who openly fought Wontumi to retract his foul comments about Otumfuo.

The case has been reported to the Manhyia Palace, who have since ordered the NPP General Secretary, Justin Kodua, to bring Wontumi before them and explain why he verbally attacked Otumfuo.

Meanwhile, reports suggested that Justin Kodua is working behind the scenes to beg the angry chiefs to forgive Wontumi, who is noted for insulting ‘big’ people in the country.
