CAMPAIGN TEAM Member for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and Chief Executive of Ghana Digital Centers Limited (GDCL), Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has parried off suggestions that the Vice-President has relaxed in his campaign because all serious research polls point to his victory on Saturday’s flag-bearer election of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Hon Agyemang said rather than anyone, Dr Bawumia from the day he declared his intention to lead the NPP has run a focused, strategic and direct campaign to win the hearts and minds of NPP delegates across the country.

Speaking to this reporter,  Hon Agyemang who is a former Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North noted that the Team Bawumia members are even surprised at the vibrancy with which their choicest candidate has attended to the campaign.

“I can tell you that since the day Dr Bawumia decided to officially campaign to lead the NPP he has not relented or slacked in his intention and this shows he is not complacent”, the GDCL CEO stated.

Attributes:

Hon Agyemang said the campaign of Dr Bawumia has gone very well due to his integrity and character.

He stated that the Vice-President has carried himself very well from 2007 till date, adding that since the 4th Republic, Dr Bawumia has been the most effective and competent vice president among the past five Ghana had experienced.

He noted that Dr Bawumia’s capabilities are beyond measure, earning  him the accolade “Mr Digital”, as he spearheads the digitization transformational agenda for Ghana to catch up with the developed world.

These attitudes and competences, the former MP noted makes Dr Bawumia more appealing to the NPP delegates.

“The NPP is blessed to have such a humble, focused, competent and intelligent person in Dr Bawumia and it is so refreshing that the delegates have also seen same and will vote for him to lead the NPP to break the 8 year governing cycle in Ghana”, Hon Agyemang intimated.

Percentage:

Hon Baah Agyemang said the Campaign Team was working to secure between 75% and 80 % of the popular votes for the Vice President.

He noted that even though all polls favour Dr Bawumia, however, the team was bent on marketing their candidate in a manner that he will have a resounding victory on November 4.

The GDCL CEO said selling Dr Bawumia within the NPP has not been hard because the party people know his contribution to how solid the party brand has become.

“The campaign had been focused beyond Saturday’s polls because in Dr Bawumia the NPP stands the chance of breaking the 8 so while we talk to delegates we also reached out to Ghanaians wherever we went with the NPP message of solid foundation laid by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government”, Hon Agyemang noted.
