Burkinabe Is New Kotoko Coach

Less than 1 minute Minutes

KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko has appointed Burkinabe Trainer, Seydou Zerbo, as the club’s new Head Coach.

The former Stallions Coach has signed a one-year contract with an option to renew for further 12 months.

Zerbo replaces Prosper Nartey Ogum, who left the club last week following a successful 11 months in charge.

The 59-year old’s last job was when he coached the Burkina Faso team at the 2020 CHAN tournament in Cameroon.

Zerbo’s team, however, failed to progress from the group stage.

Kotoko’s new coach faces the herculean task of helping the Porcupine Warriors to advance from the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League qualifiers.

Interestingly, Kotoko’s opponent is Burkina Faso’s Rail Club du Kadiogo, the club Zerbo started his coaching career with in 2013.
