In a tightly contested election on Saturday evening, Thomas Oheneba Boakye was elected as the new Branch Organiser for the United Kingdom branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Boakye, a dedicated party loyalist and former member of the NPP-UK Communications Team, secured victory by winning 9 out of the 16 voting chapters, accumulating a total of 354 votes.

His rival, incumbent Deputy Branch Organiser King Kwabeah Acheampong, managed 302 votes after taking 7 chapters.

While the final tally reflects a close contest, political observers regard Mr. Boakye’s victory as a significant political feat.

Going into the polls, Mr. Acheampong held the advantage of executive visibility as the sitting Deputy Organiser, but Mr. Boakye’s grassroots appeal ultimately won over the delegates.
