Pressure Mounts On Alan To Resign From Gov’t

Less than 1 minute Minutes

PRESSURE IS mounting on Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, to resign from government without delay.

A group in Kumasi has given him up to the end of September 2022 to resign from his position and work on his presidential ambition.

Led by Abraham Boadi aka ‘Opooman’, the group has threatened to use force for Alan Kyeremanten to resign if he (Alan) fails to resign by the end of September.

According to Opooman, Alan Kyeremanten is the suitable person to succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo as president on NPP ticket in 2024.

In this regard, he said Alan Kyeremanten should start vigorous political campaign now so that his presidential ambition will become a reality.

“We are giving Alan Kyeremanten an ultimatum to resign by the end of September 2022 and start campaigning to become the next president.

“If Alan fails to adhere to our request, I will load people in buses from Kumasi to Accra on October 1st, 2022 and force him to resign”, Opooman threatened.

In an interview with Kojo Marfo of Abusua FM, Opooman said Alan Kyeremanten is set to become president in 2024 “and I don’t know why he is wasting time”.

The interview was monitored by Press1News. Opooman, who is a staunch NPP member in the Nhyiaeso Constituency, insists “Alan can lead the NPP to retain power in 2024”.
