Let’s Support Gov’t To Steer Us Out Of Hard Times-NPP Org Appeals

Less than 1 minute Minutes

THE ASHANTI Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Adomako has appealed to the public to continue to offer support to the government as it works to stabilize the rising cost of living and the depreciation of the Ghanaian currency, the cedi.

Speaking to Press1News in Kumasi Sunday morning, the regional organiser said he was positive that the government would get measures right to stabilize the commodity market.

He noted that food prices had become high with cost of living becoming almost unbearable but was confident that the IMF deal coupled with other measures the government would be rolling out this week would bring positive outcomes.

‘’I am confident that the President with support of his ministers would lead us out of the economic challenges and ours is to pray for God’s help as they brainstorm on the possible solutions’’, Mr Adomako stated.

Prayer:

Mr Adomako rallied citizens to pray for the President to lead the country out of the biting challenges of the Ghanaian economy.

The difficulties, he admitted, were not peculiar to Ghana alone but said citizens could help the country deal with the situation.

He noted that some suggestions to the government would be needed as well as prayer for the President.

‘’Rather than throw up our arms in the air due to the challenges confronting us we can come up with some suggestions to the government as we also factor prayer into all that is happening for divine intervention’’, Mr Adomako appealed.

Confidence:

The regional organiser expressed confidence that the country would soon see a turnaround of its fortunes.

This confidence, he noted, stems from the belief in God and the ingenuity of the people in the helm of affairs.

Mr Adomako stated that he foresees a better future for people as he sees a determination by all to work to make things work again.

‘’I would rather urge that we bank our hopes in God and pray for a solution as the government works around the ongoing turbulence in the economy and surely there will be a positive turnaround’’, the regional organiser stated.
