Ophelia Samaaba Prempeh-Kessie, popularly known as “Emfresh,” has assured delegates of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) that their welfare and strategic interests will take center stage if she is elected as the party’s Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser.
Prempeh-Kessie, a veteran party activist with over two decades of dedicated service within the NPP ranks, issued the charge during her campaign tour across the Asante Akyem, Offinso, and Kwabre enclaves.
Addressing party faithful, she commended the grassroots for their unwavering dedication, identifying them as the foundational pillar of the party’s historic electoral triumphs.
“I am fully committed to being your voice,” Prempeh-Kessie affirmed.
She added, “The NPP remains a dominant political force today primarily because our grassroots base has consistently sacrificed to drive the party’s fortunes forward.”
Strategic Vision:
Outlining her manifesto, the aspirant emphasized her commitment to transforming the regional women’s wing into a well-resourced, self-sustaining entity that caters directly to its members and women across the region.
Drawing on her extensive political background, she noted that her deep understanding of internal party dynamics enables her to effectively reactivate the regional women’s front.
“Women possess an inherent ability to communicate, persuade, and build strong community networks,” she stated.
The aspirant noted, “Under my leadership, we will strategically leverage these natural strengths to expand our membership base and deepen popular support for the party.”
Mobilisation:
As the NPP prepares for future election cycles, the Ashanti Region, historically the party’s primary electoral strongholdremains pivotal.
Prempeh-Kessie underscored that her primary objective will be to deploy organized outreach campaigns to consolidate the party’s regional dominant standing ahead of the 2028 general elections.
“With disciplined organization, hard work, and a clear strategy to win hearts and minds, I am confident that we will secure a decisive victory in 2028,” she added.
