The Member of Parliament (MP) for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi, has strongly urged New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates across the Eastern Region to re-elect the party’s incumbent General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, in the upcoming internal national elections.
Baafi asserted that maintaining experienced, proven leadership at the party’s national secretariat is the single most critical factor in re-anchoring the NPP, consolidating internal reforms, and laying the groundwork for a successful comeback in the 2028 general elections.

The appeal was made during a high-octane campaign tour by Justin Frimpong Kodua, popularly known as “JFK” as he engaged delegates across the New Juaben South, New Juaben North, and Suhum constituencies.
Accompanying Kodua on the trail were several NPP Members of Parliament, a dynamic that Baafi highlighted as a clear vote of confidence from the party’s parliamentary caucus.
Baafi noted that these lawmakers were not merely escorting the General Secretary out of courtesy, but were actively campaigning on the ground to secure his mandate due to his track record of competence, accessibility, and unwavering commitment to the party hierarchy.
