The Chief Executive Officer of the EKK Charity Foundation, Mr Evans Kofi Kwafo has appealed to private as well as corporate and public organisations to support efforts by his outfit to correct a deformity around the jaw and face of 12 year old, Cindy Nipayede.

Scans and laboratory examinations and an earlier procedure at KATH cost the Foundation close to GhC 50, 000.00, the CEO disclosed.

Displaying medical documents covering the girl, Mr Kwafo noted that the three phased surgery whose first phase should be done by end of February would cost about 25, 000 dollars.

Support:

Mr Kwafo promised that the Foundation will by next week donate some amount to the doctors to commence the first phase of the three surgeries required.

He noted that seeing the girl each time they visit her at the hospital strengthens the resolve of the group to do their best to appeal for support to help out.

Currently, he noted that the EKK Foundation relies on its dues and contributions to carry out most of its philanthropic works.

“We are a committed non-government  and non-profit outfit that believes in supporting government to do what is required to give citizens especially the under-privileged good life”, the CEO stated.

Background:

Mr Kwafo said he found Cindy Nipayede about two years ago at a suburb in Kumasi.

He narrated that an outdoor preacher was soliciting for funds for the young girl on the heavily patronised route.

Mr Kwafo said upon conversation, the preacher revealed that the girl’s parents had nothing doing to provide treatment for the child.

“After getting the consent of Cindy’s parents i decided to solicit for support from my members so we could commence treatment for her and so far we’ve spent over Gh50, 000 on laboratory tests, scans and an initial corrective procedure. We now need 25, 000 dollars to carry out three phased surgeries to correct the deformity on the face of the beautiful girl”, Mr Kwafo tearfully noted.
