THE SUAME Interchange project, in Kumasi, is expected to officially start in July, this year.
The Agric Nzemahene, Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, announced the commencement date.
The Kumasi-based traditional leader is a close friend of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Since the Nzemahene and the president are close friends, his pronouncement carries weight.
”Latest by July, 2022, we will cut the sod for the Suame Interchange project in Kumasi to start.
”This interchange will be a replica of the much-talked-about Pokuase Interchange project.
”This project would be completed in 24 months time”, the president’s friend boldly stated.
The top chief was speaking with Kofi Asante of Akoma FM and it was monitored by Press1News.
The Agric Nzemahene said after Suame, the Santase Roundabout interchange would also start.
He flatly debunked reports that the NPP administration has neglected the Ashanti Region.
Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo said the region has benefited from more road projects, in recent times.
He assured that more developmental projects are in the pipeline.
”like Oliver Twist, we are asking for more”, the Agric Nzemahene demanded.
The Suame Interchange project has been on the drawing board for quite a long time.
Hopefully, the project will finally start after the Agric Nzemahene’s bold pronouncement.
