STORY

DR. MATTHEW Opoku Prempeh’s immense popularity in the Manhyia South Constituency, once again, came to bear on Monday, May 23, 2022.

The day was the 54th birthday of Dr. Prempeh aka ‘Napo’ and virtually the entire residents of Manhyia South marked the day as if it was a national holiday.

Interestingly, Friends of Napo (FoN) planned to mark the day in a modest way by just presenting stationery and sewing machines to schools in Napo’s constituency.

But before the FoN members, made up of Napo’s close associates realized, other residents of Manhyia South have joined in celebrating their adored MP.

FoN members made donations on behalf of Napo to schools in the Manhyia South Constituency to significantly help improve educational standards in the area.

The 13 beneficiary schools are KO Methodist A, B & C, Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem M/A JHS, Ave Maria R/C JHS and New Tafo Dichemso M/A JHS, among others.

The elated-looking school children, who were served assortment of soft and drinks and meat pie, prayed fervently for long life, wisdom and sound health for Napo.

Lawyer Mina Yeboah Antwi and Nana Tima Boakye, who are members of FoN, in their separate addresses, stated that Napo loves education and children.

According to them, FoN members decided to show love to the school children in Manhyia South Constituency on behalf of Napo, who is also the Energy Minister.

Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori-Atta aka ‘Tomtom’, the Manhyia South NPP Chairman, also said Napo is an asset for the country, saying “he is a development-oriented leader”.

Meanwhile, scores of residents in the Manhyia South Constituency also prayed for God’s continuous protection and blessings for their Lawmaker.
