Asokwa NPP Campaign Team Inaugurated…Regional Minister Charges Them To Work With United Front

Less than 1 minute Minutes

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei-Mensah on Thursday inaugurated a 39 member campaign team for the Asokwa Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In Asokwa, the Campaign Team would be co-chaired by the Member of Parliament, Madam Patricia Appiagyei and the Constituency Chairman, Reverend Benjamin Fosu Nkromah.

The membership of the Campaign Team consists of an elected regional executive, the Member of Parliament (MP), Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) constituency executives, representative of elected assembly members, representative of electoral area coordinators as well as others as stipulated by the party including those who would serve as advisors from the council of patrons and council of elders.

Speaking ahead of the swearing in ceremony, the Regional Minister urged the team to stay united and work together for the common good of the party.

‘’ I can say with all the experiences I have that money helps in prosecuting good campaign strategies but the most potent amongst them all is doing so with a united front and I know when Asokwa is able to demonstrate that you would record massive voter turn-out and margin of victory’’, Hon Osei-Mensah stressed.

Details:

Speaking at the event, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah encouraged members of the campaign team as well as the entire membership of the NPP in Asokwa to be ready to work beyond themselves.

This, he noted, would be the only way the NPP can increase in votes and help to propel the national party to retain both the presidency and the parliamentary seat it currently holds sway.

Regional Women’s Organiser:

The Ashanti Regional Women’s organiser and member of the Asokwa Campaign Team admonished members of the team to be open minded and share ideas that would help them to prosecute better campaigns in Asokwa.

She particularly charged the women in the team to use good language and their influences they wield to convince people to vote for the NPP and the candidates they are marketing.

She cautioned that no member of the party, especially women who have applied to access loans from the National Board For Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) not to pay any money for either processing or to fastrack their application.

Constituency Chairman:

Speaking to the media, Reverend Benjamin Fosu Nkromah, Asokwa Constituency Chairman of the NPP and Chairman of the Campaign Team noted the readiness of the members for the task ahead.

He said the members were well aware of the mandate on their hands and would work to deliver optimum results on December 7 for the party.

Reverend Nkromah stated the importance of working with united front, adding that unity is the catalyst to getting good results.

‘’We are fired for the upcoming campaign and we are going to work hard to ensure we deliver on our mandate”, the Constituency Chairman intimated.
