Asokwa MCE Honoured As Champion Of Education

Less than 1 minute Minutes

THE ASOKWA Municipal Education Directorate has honored the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah for his commitment to education in the Municipality.

In a citation read and presented by the Municipal Director of Education, Reverend Ebenezer Oteng Marfo to the MCE, the directorate commended Chief Akwannuasah for extending support and in a timely manner to the directorate.

The Directorate also applauded the MCE for investing his time and effort in ensuring teaching and learning is at top notch in the municipality.

Quoting Aristotle, the Greek Philosopher, the Directorate said the Asokwa MCE has excellently and diligently taken sincere and wise measures in pushing for total education for pupils and students in the Municipality.

Details:

The Directorate said they decided to honour the MCE for his sterling performance and activities which showed that he was a genius and colossus in education.

The citation noted that having been the first MCE after the creation of Asokwa as a Municipality several demands may have been brought to his doors from different departments and agencies.

However, the statement said  the directorate has seen unprecedented infrastructural and logistical development under the tenure of Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah.

It said being a visionary leader, the MCE allocated, renovated and furnished the Education Office building with all the necessary logistics required to ensure the smooth running of the Education Department.

The statement said the MCE’s decision to furnish classrooms with furniture has ensured the reduction of the deficit in the Education Directorate.

Appreciation:

Looking surprised at the gesture, Chief Akwannuasah said he was humbled by the honor done him by the Education Directorate.

He noted that all that he has done since assuming office in his first term and currently in his second term is to ensure that education at all levels in the municipality is total.

This, he stressed, is the modest contribution he can make to uplift the image of education and to ensure pupils and students attending schools in Asokwa have the best form of education.

‘’I am humbled by this honor and I want to use this opportunity to thank the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for seeing the good in me and appointing me to contribute my quota in the development of Asokwa and its people’’, the MCE stated to rapturous applause.
