JOSEPH YAMMIN, a Kumasi-based outspoken politician, has launched a scathing attack on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

He alleged that the government has surprisingly turned its back at the people of Ashanti Region, which always provide more votes for the NPP during elections.

“The Ashanti Region is the world bank of the NPP, where they always get their votes to win elections. This is an undeniable fact and everybody is aware of that.

“Even during the 2020 elections, the NPP accrued more votes from the Ashanti Region and that helped the party to win the crucial elections”, Yammin pointed out.

However, he alleged that the President Akufo-Addo-led NPP administration has not reciprocated the deep love shown to the party by the people of Ashanti Region.

“The Ashanti Region is being discriminated against by the NPP government and this is why the region has not experienced any proper development under this government.

“This administration promised Ashanti Region an inland port project at Boankra, a railway line project and several others but they have all become a scam”, he indicated.

Yammin, who was speaking in a chat with Kojo Marfo of Abusua fm in Kumasi, urged the residents of Ashanti Region to stop voting for the NPP and rather vote for the NDC.
