NGO, Journalists Walk On Indece Day

THE CHIEF Executive for the EKK Charity Foundation, a non-governmental organization, Mr Evans Kofi Kwafo has announced that members of his outfit would be walking with some media persons in the metropolis on the 6th of March, 2023.

He noted that the walk is intended to rekindle the spirit of personal physical exercise in the public.

According to him, some media personalities and morning show hosts such as Kwame Adinkra, Sampson K Nyamekye, Kwame Tanko, Nana Yaw Mensah Joel, Wofa Kofi Appiah and Omanhene Adu Boakye as well as many others are expected to take part in the 6th march walk.

“My outfit is honored to be walking with Kumasi’s famous media personalities on the 6th of March to conscientize the public that physical exercise is good for the body”, the CEO stated.

Medical Screening:

The CEO noted that there would be medical screening after the walk.

He said starting from the Suame roundabout, participants would converge at the Heroes Park at the Kumasi Sports stadium for the screening exercise to begin.

Mr Kwafo said doctors and other medical staff from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) would be checking for the body mass index (BMI) of participants and residents.

Other diagnosis would be conducted for Malaria and other non-communicable diseases.

“We want to ensure that before we leave the venue we would have physically exercised our bodies and also checked to know our health conditions”, the CEO stressed.

Appeal:

Mr Kwafo appealed to the public to mark the date and turn up to exercise their bodies.

He noted that physical exercises profit a lot, adding that it has the potential of putting the body in good shape.

The CEO also said that those who are struggling with weight and other body mass issues could burn some calories and put their bodies in good shape.

“I am appealing to the public in Kumasi to join us at Suame roundabout to walk and burn some fat so that we can have a healthy body system going and with the screening exercise also in sight we can test to know our health status”, Mr Kwafo stated.
