DR. MATTHEW Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, has expressed gratitude to the people of Manhyia South Constituency in Kumasi for their unflinching support, so far.

From day-one, he stated, residents of Manhyia South, especially the New Patriotic Party (NPP) members,  have supported him actively to lead them as Member of Parliament (MP).

According to the famous Lawmaker, who doubles as the Energy Minister, he has gone far in his political career mainly because of the support of residents of Manhyia South.

Napo has therefore appealed passionately to Manhyia South residents, notably the NPP members, to continue to suport him to enable him climb high the political ladder.

He was speaking when he filed his nomination forms to once again contest the upcoming Mannyia South Constituency NPP Member of Parliament (MP) primaries on Wednesday.

Napo, who is seeking his fifth term as NPP Parliamentary Candidate in Manhyia South, said he is confident that the party delegates would renew his mandate.

“I came to you to elect me as your MP in 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020 and you wholeheartedly voted for me on those occasions and I’m very grateful for your support.

“I must say that I’m where I’m in politics right now because of your active support. I need your support once again to continue to lead the constituency into affluence”, he said.

Significantly, Napo was accompanied to the Manhyia South NPP office by party gurus in Manhyia South, Kumasi and the Ashanti Region at large.
