CLOGSAG gets new regional executives

Members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) in the Ashanti Region convened to elect their Regional Executives.

They held a successful election in Kumasi on Monday, July 20, 2026, at their conference hall in Adum.

The Electoral College was made up of two officials from each of the 43 districts and the RCC, incumbent executives, and candidates, as stipulated by the Association’s Constitution.

The newly elected executives are Mr. Kelvin Gyamfi as Regional Chairman, Mr. Kwaku Opare Asamoah as Treasurer, Mr. Collins Owusu-Ansah as Organizer, and Mr. Isaac Agyen as Regional Trustee.

All positions except Treasurer were unopposed, with Mr. Opare Asamoah winning 53 votes to defeat Mr. Saeed Ishahaku who had 29 votes in an election organized by the EC.

The new executives were sworn in by CLOGSAG President, Mr. Benjamin Otoo, marking the prompt start of their four-year mandate.

Dr. Isaac Bampoe-Addo, Executive Secretary, and former Regional Chairman Mr. Samuel Antwi urged the new team to work professionally, diligently, and with the full support of members to improve welfare.

On behalf of the new executives, Mr. Kelvin Gyamfi expressed gratitude to the Electoral College and delegates, and pledged to promote the greater good of CLOGSAG in the region and beyond while adhering to national leadership’s guidance.
