aYo Ghana Launches Affordable Insurance Package Dubbed Family Cover

aYo Intermediaries Ghana, a subsidiary of MTN Group launched the Kumasi edition of aYo Family Cover product.

The product allows policyholders to insure themselves and six additional family members on both MyHospital and MyLife cover, with one unique feature being the additional lives on It’s Hospital cover.

 

 

aYo Family Cover allows customers to insure family members between the ages of 1 and 69 on both Life and Hospital policies and premiums are paid digitally via the MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) platform.

Speaking at a colourful ceremony held at the Kejetia Central Market on Tuesday 11th July, the Chief Executive Officer for aYo, Mr. Francis Gota revealed that as at June 2023, aYo has signed up 8.2 million Ghanaians on It’s insurance policies.

According to Mr Gota, aYo has its customers at heart, hence the introduction of an affordable and accessible insurance product, aYo Family Cover policy which aims to create the peace of mind and assurance needed by families.

“Insurance is very important. It can save you in times of difficulty,” he said.

He indicated that the premiums are so affordable and customers will pay a premium of Ghc15 for themselves and each additional family member every month via MoMo and enjoy a benefit of Ghc 15,000 life Insurance cover and Ghc300 Hospitalization cover per night for the  policyholder and additional family members.

The CEO announced that customers should dial *296# and select option 2 to sign up for the aYo Family Cover policy

Projects Manager:

The Projects and Strategies Manager for aYo, Mr. Emmanuel Gyim said their partnership with MTN Ghana to introduce the aYo Family Cover has been successful and so far about Ghs14 million Claims have been paid to over 40,000 customers.

Petty Traders Head:

Nana Prempeh,Kumasi Petty Traders Association chairman endorsed the “aYo Family Cover’.

He encouraged all traders to subscribe to it.

Nana Prempeh described the policy as one of the lowest insurance premium rate with easy accessibility.
