TV3 Reporter Wins Best Journalist Award

Godwin Asediba, a TV3 Reporter, has been adjudged the Best Journalist of 2024, at the Ghana Journalists Association’s (GJA) 29th Media Awards Gala, held at the Manhyia Palace on Saturday, November 9, 2025.

He received a fully sponsored trip to Turkey, a plaque, and a citation for his exceptional talent and dedication to the craft.

The event honored 27 individuals and seven media organizations for their remarkable and responsible journalism.

In the News News News, Servarence Kale-Daery of Daily Graphic, Muftau Nabila Rufui of TV3, and Ridwan Karim Dini Osman of Radio Online, were among the winners in the Print, TV, and Radio categories, respectively.

In the Features category, Timothy Ngnenge, Sarah Apenkra of TV3, and Rachel Kkraba of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) impressed the judges with their compelling stories and won in the print, TV, and radio categories.

The Documentary category saw Doreen Ampofo of GBC (Radio) and Godwin Asediba of TV3 (TV) taking top honors.

Masahudu Ankilu Kunteth of Eye TV (Online) and Solomon Gumah of Ghana News Agency (GNA) were also recognized for their outstanding work in the Documentary category.

The Columnist award went to Edmund Smith Asante of Daily Graphic (Print) and Samuel Dowuona of Tech Focus24 (Online).

In the Sports reporting category, Muftai Anabila Abdulai of Joyonline took the top spot. Peter Agengre of GBC won the Education Reporting award, while James Amo Junior of GNA took home the Photojournalism award.

Nabil Ahmed Rufui, a Freelance journalist, won the Arts and Entertainment award, while Rosemond Akuokor Adjetey of GH One took the Business and Economic reporter award.

Akwasi Agyei Annim of Citi News won the Science and Environmental Reporting Award, and Abigail Annor of Ghanaian Times took the Health reporter award.

Ebenezer Madugu of Atinka Media won the Democracy/Akoto Ampau Award, and Doreen Ampofo of GBC won the Gender Award.

Justice Agbenorsi of Daily Graphic took home the Crime and Court reporter award, while Anass Sabit of Joynews-Multimedia won the Domestic Tourism award.

Dasmani Issifu Laary of GNA won the Road Safety award, and Oheme Tawiah of Joynews/Multimedia took the Illegal Mining award.

The Best English TV Station award went to GTV, while Citi FM won the Best English Radio award.

Peace FM took the Best Akan(Twi) Radio award, and Adom TV won the Best Akan TV Station award.

Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z won the Best Radio Entertainment Programme award, while UTV’s United Show-Biz took the Best TV Entertainment Programme award.

The Best Radio/TV Programme (English) award went to The Probe, and Esther Aidoo won the Disability Reportage award.

The Daily Graphic took home the Best Newspaper layout award, and Clinton Yeboah of KNUST won the Best Student Journalist award.

Doreen Ampofo of GBC was recognized as the Best Female Journalist, and Ekosis – Asempa TV won the Best TV/Radio Programme award.
